Ministry of Education has awarded contracts to develop infrastructure required in two schools.
The contract to develop two additional classrooms in Kihaadhoo School in Baa Atoll was awarded to Isco Investment Private Limited. The project was awarded at a price of USD 134,000, to be completed in 99 days.
The contract to develop four additional classrooms and a hall in Himmafushi School in Kaafu Atoll was awarded to Yes Maldives Private Limited. The project was awarded at a price of USD1 million, to be completed in 365 days.
The government is undertaking several projects across the atolls to increase the capacity of schools. As such, the development of additional classrooms is underway in several schools as part of efforts to implement single sessions in all schools.
