New mosque in Maafannu opened to the public

The new mosque developed in the Maafannu ward of Male’ City has been opened to the public.

Ministry of Islamic Affairs stated the mosque, located in Fareedhee Magu in Maafannu, is a donation by a private party. The mosque was developed up to two stories, with 6,000sqft allocated for the praying area. The mosque also has a special area allocated for women.

Construction of the mosque began in August 2019. It replaces an old mosque located on the same plot area.
