Fenaka Institute for Training and Research has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maldives National Skills Development Authority (MNSDA) on providing certification for trained staff.
The MoU was signed to register the institute as a National Trade Testing Centre. Fenaka said the agreement would enable certification of staff who have acquired training and experience at the company, but have not been able to acquire a certification or license.
Fenaka Institute for Training and Research is the training institute of the state utilities company, Fenaka Corporation Limited. The institute currently conducts courses in electrical installation and maintenance, with a certification equivalent to Level 3 of the Maldives National Qualifications Framework (MNQF). The institute also plans to conduct similar courses in sewerage system operation and maintenance, utility laboratory technician services as well as water supply systems operation and maintenance.
