Economic Ministry establishes call centre for local councils

Ministry of Economic Development has established a special call centre for local councils.

The economic ministry stated the purpose of the call centre is to make way for easier communication between the ministry and local councils in order to improve the services councils provide to the public.

The ministry has designated four numbers to contact the call centre, which will provide information on business registration and expatriate-related services. The ministry stated that the centre will accept calls from numbers owned by members of city, atoll, and island councils as well as women’s development committees (WDCs). The centre will also return missed calls before the end of the workday.
