Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has stated the construction of Vinares flats in Hulhumale’ Phase II is expected to be completed by July this year.

The Vinares housing project involves the construction of 1,344 housing units, all of which are 3-room apartments. The project, which aims to resolve some of the housing difficulties faced in the Greater Male’ Region, underwent several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the project is now nearing completion.

Recipients of flats under failed housing schemes conducted in the past have been allowed to seek flats under the Vinares project. As such, recipients of flats from the abandoned Gulhifalhu Housing Project and Sealife Housing Project have been provided the opportunity to acquire Vinares flats. Furthermore, 100 recipients of Hiya flats who wish to exchange their flats through a different housing scheme have also applied for Vinares flats.
