Vice President discusses developmental progress in Fuvahmulah

Vice President Faisal Naseem has held extensive discussions on the ongoing developmental projects in Fuvahmulah City. The discussions were held during a meeting with members of the Fuvahmulah City Council as part of his two-day visit to the city.

Discussions at the meeting were mainly focused on the ongoing road development project, creating job opportunities for the youth, and improving healthcare and education sector services. The council members also discussed ways to resume stalled Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) projects.

Speaking about the administration’s efforts to create new jobs, Vice President Naseem asked the council members to exercise impartiality in hiring. He also went on to speak about the importance of creating more opportunities for people with disabilities and the underprivileged.

The vice president was accompanied at the meeting by the Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir, who spoke about the Ihya Forum held in Fuvahmulah City to renew and revive the spirit of Ramadan. He thanked the city council for their support in organising the event.
