HDC to lease 10 land plots in Hulhumale' for local housing developers

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has invited interested parties to submit proposals for its Local Developers 3 Project for the development and sale of residential apartments in Hulhumale’.

Under the project, HDC will be leasing 10 land plots spanning 1,600-3,400sqft to parties interested in building two-to-three room apartment buildings. Interested parties must submit their proposals by June 9. The pre-proposal meeting will be held online on May 12 and the physical information session is on June 5 at the HDC building.

HDC stated that the finishing works for the apartments should be done in accordance with the company guidelines and that the apartments should be sold in accordance with relevant guidelines published by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure. Contractors are also required to develop a parking zone for the apartment residents. HDC will be determining a contractor’s price, experience, and business plan when evaluating the proposals, and will be prioritising the contractor that submits the most cost-effective proposal.

HDC has revealed the current housing projects and the planned projects for Hulhumale’ involves the development of a total of 11,000 housing units. The company is currently conducting projects to build luxury flats and middle income flats in Hulhumale’ as part of the efforts to resolve the housing issues in the Greater Male’ Region.
