President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have travelled to Maafushi, Kaafu Atoll to participate in Eid al-Fitr celebrations. They visited Maafushi at the invitation of the members of the island council and the Women’s Development Committee (WDC).
In the afternoon, President Solih and First Lady Fazna attended a special lunch hosted by the residents of the island. The president spent the late afternoon with the children at a children’s festival held as part of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
Prior to leaving for Maafushi, President Solih joined the Eid Al-Fitr prayer congregation at the Islamic Centre in Male' City. Afterwards, he exchanged Eid greetings with members of the public.
