Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced preparations to begin fieldwork of the harbour redevelopment project in Hithaadhoo, Baa Atoll.
The Hithaadhoo Island Council revealed MTCC is currently transporting the materials required for the project to the project site. The council stated MTCC is preparing to begin fieldwork of the project by the end of this month.
The harbour redevelopment project in Hithaadhoo was contracted to MTCC at a price of USD1.15 million. The scope of the project involves extending the width of the harbour by 100ft, as well as the construction of revetments, breakwaters and pavement.
