Gov’t contracts expansion projects of three schools

Ministry of Education has contracted expansion projects for three schools in the atolls.

The projects that were contracted include the expansion projects of Afeefuddeen School in Kulhudhuffushi City, Maafaru School in Noonu Atoll, and Raa Atoll Education Centre. The contracts for the three projects were signed with the respective contractors during a special ceremony held at the education ministry.

Construction of a three-storey extension building in Afeefuddeen School was contracted to Venza Company Private Limited. The project was contracted to be completed within 365 days at a price of USD492,000.

The construction of four additional classrooms and a multipurpose hall in Maafaru School was contracted to Swift Engineering Private Limited. The project was contracted to be completed within 365 days at a price of USD1.3 million.

Meanwhile, the construction of a two-storey extension building in Raa Atoll Education Centre was contracted to Badhahi Investment Private Limited. The project was contracted to be completed within 365 days at a price of USD538,000.

All three projects are carried out under the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) budget.
