Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) has warned that it will penalise higher education centres that conduct courses in a way that violate its guidelines.
MQA stated that it has been receiving complaints over licensed course providers acting against the conditions of the permits they have been issued. As such, the qualification authority stated that it has received complaints of higher education centres advertising courses they intend to conduct online without receiving the required permission, which violates the programme accreditation guidelines.
MQA warned that such complaints will be investigated and that education centres that are found guilty will be penalised in accordance with the Maldives Higher Education Act and the programme accreditation guidelines.
