Ministry of Education is seeking a contractor to procure 193 stretchers for schools. The education ministry stated that the procurement of the stretchers is part of the Maldives Learning and Advancement and Measurement Project (LAMP).
Interested parties are required to procure the stretchers in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Regulations for investment project financing (IPF) Borrowers of the Procurement in Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services. The ministry stated that interested parties are required to submit their proposals on September 20, with a bid security of USD400. The proposals submitted electronically or after the deadline will not be accepted by the ministry.
LAMP is a project established at the education ministry, under the grant assistance of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). The project has a grant of USD3.1 million, of which USD100,000 has been allocated for the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other equipment needed in schools. The project aims to distribute the equipment to all 212 government schools before the beginning of the next academic year.
