25 airlines operating flights to the Maldives

Ministry of Tourism has revealed that 25 international airlines are currently operating flights to the Maldives.

Following the resumption of international flight operations after the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, the Maldives has been connected by direct flights from all over the world. As such, there are currently 25 international airlines operating flights to the Maldives, including several airlines from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Statistics from the tourism ministry show that seven European airlines are operating flights to the Maldives, including five airlines operating scheduled flights and two airlines operating chartered flights. Scheduled flights are being operated by Aeroflot, Edelweiss Air, Neos, Eurowings Discover, and Turkish Airlines. The chartered flights are operated by Air Astana and LOT Polish Airlines.

Additionally, Middle Eastern airlines Emirates, Etihad Airways, Fly Dubai, Gulf Air, Qatar Airways, and Saudia are all operating scheduled flights to the Maldives. Similarly, regional airlines Air India and Indigo also operate scheduled flights while Air Vistara operate chartered flights.

Eight airlines are operating flights to the Maldives from other regions, which include seven airlines operating scheduled flights and one airline operating chartered flights. The scheduled flights are operated by Air Asia, Air Asia Thailand, Air Seychelles, Bangkok Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Sri Lankan Airlines, while the chartered flight is operated by US Bangla Airlines.
