100 companies sign up for Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives exhibition

Around 100 companies have signed up for the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) 2022 exhibition to be held from August 28-30.

President of FHAM Mariyam Nooradeen said it is one of the largest exhibitions being held in the Maldives and it is an opportunity for the hospitality industry to fully recover from the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. She said expectations are high for FHAM 2022 as many companies have signed up for the event.

FHAM exhibition will allow stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industries to meet under one roof. As such, owners, senior management, and other staff of resorts, hotels, guest houses, liveaboard operators as well as owners of restaurants are expected to join the exhibition, which showcases a wide range of products and services offered by international and local companies to the tourism industry of the Maldives. Over 110 stalls will be represented by more than 50 companies to demonstrate their products and services to the hospitality industry, making it the largest gathering of industry stakeholders in the Maldives.

Additionally, FHAM International Culinary Challenge will be held concurrently with the exhibition and will attract more than 500 chefs from almost all the resorts and hotels to take part in the World Association of Chefs and Society (WACS) endorsed and certified event, organised in partnership with Chef Guilds of Maldives (CGM) and Chef Guilds of Lanka (CGL).

FHAM 2022 exhibition is organised by Dhivehi Expo Services in association with the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies at the Maldives National University (MNU), Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Arts Culture and Heritage, Ministry of Economic Development, and Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI).
