Any safety and security violations will be investigated: IASL

Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL), the operator of the national airline, Maldivian, has assured to investigate any incident that may disrupt the safety and security of passengers and crew.

In a statement issued following rumours that the captain of a Maldivian seaplane turned off the engine during flight, IASL said that the safety and security of passengers and crew on Maldivian aircraft is always a high priority. The state-owned company assured it is an airline operating in accordance with the rules of the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA). IASL also assured to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of passengers and crew.

The airline revealed that such matters are being closely monitored by the MCAA.
