Ministry of Higher Education has opened 30 opportunities under the Honorary Consuls Scholarship Programme.
The higher education ministry opened scholarship opportunities for individuals interested in receiving bachelor’s degrees in biotechnology, computer application, business administration, tourism, English, and hotel management. Five scholarships will be awarded for each category and the chosen applicants will receive the opportunity to study at the Garden City University in Bangalore, India.
The higher education ministry will accept applicants who have passed a specific number of subjects in the GCEO O’level, IGCSE, and SCC examinations. The ministry has also published details of the courses in the Government Gazette. The scholarship will cover the course fees but the chosen applicants will be responsible for booking two-way tickets, paying for the book allowance, university registration fee, insurance, visa, and other course-related expenses.
The interested individuals are required to submit their application for one of the courses by August 25. The chosen applicants will also be required to serve in a government position after completing the course.
