Ministry of Higher Education has opened corporate scholarship opportunities in areas related to the work of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL). Interested individuals are required to submit their applications by August 25.
The higher education ministry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MPL to provide scholarships earlier in the month. Under the MoU, seven students will be selected every year to pursue higher studies in areas related to MPL, with one scholarship to be given to a student included in the top 10 achievers in the A’Level examinations.
MPL has agreed to fund the scholarships while the ministry is in charge of choosing the applicants and awarding the scholarships. The ministry has provided details of the scholarships and the requirements for application submissions on its website.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MPL Shahid Ali said that providing education and training opportunities is an important step in developing human resources within the company.
