Association for Social Benefits and Aid (ASBA) is conducting a workshop on Mental Fitness for High Performance for doctors and nurses.
The workshop began in Paradise Island Resort on August 27. Around 100 doctors and nurses are participating in the workshop, which is split into two sessions.
Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Aishath Nahula, who founded ASBA, said that the purpose of the workshop is to change the opinions of doctors and nurses on how they view mental health and to eliminate the stigma on mental health in the sector. She emphasised the importance of maintaining mental health for employees in any sector, adding that doctors and nurses stand to benefit the most.
Speakers at the workshop consist of experts in the field of mental fitness and performance including Asiyath Nasooha and Fathimath Shifaza.
