Agro National Corporation Private Limited (AgroNat) has revealed over USD319,000 worth of farming equipment has been released as part of the startup packages offered to local farmers.
The startup package was introduced under the contract farming project launched by AgroNat. The package includes fertilisers, water hoses, chemicals, and other farming equipment.
AgroNat revealed over USD319,000 worth of equipment was provided to 286 farmers through its startup packages. The company revealed the equipment was provided at prices which are 20% lower than market prices.
AgroNat was established by the government to market agricultural produce from local farms and provide a better income for farmers by providing technical and financial assistance to local farmers and helping them to market their produce. The company has established contracts with 713 local farmers to produce a wide range of fruits and vegetables.
