Ministry of Education has awarded contracts for the development of multipurpose halls in three schools in the atolls.
The contracts were awarded for the development of multipurpose halls in Thulhaadhoo School in Baa Atoll, Alifu Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre, and Vaavu Atoll Education Centre.
The development of the multipurpose hall in Thulhaadhoo School was contracted to Badhahi Investment Private Limited to be completed within one year at a price of USD779,000. The project in Alifu Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre to develop seven classrooms and a multipurpose hall was contracted to Yes Maldives Private Limited to be completed within one year at a price of USD1.16 million. In addition, the project in Vaavu Atoll Education Centre was contracted to K&F Holdings Private Limited to be completed within one year at a price of USD584,000.
The government is undertaking several projects across the atolls to increase the capacity of schools. As such, multiple projects are being carried out to develop extension buildings, multipurpose halls, and additional classrooms in several schools.
