A’Level examinations begin with more than 2,800 students

Edexcel A’Level examinations have commenced in the Maldives with more than 2,800 students.

Ministry of Education revealed a total of 2,849 students from 40 centres are taking part in the examinations. The ministry added that 2,785 students are sitting in Edexcel A'Level examinations and 1,299 students are sitting in Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) examinations this year.

The Edexcel A’Level examinations, which were originally scheduled for May/June, were moved ahead to April/May by Edexcel. Due to time constraints, the education ministry has withdrawn the names of the students who had applied for the Edexcel examination in May/June and made arrangements for those students to sit in the October/November examinations from their respective schools.

The Edexcel and HSC examinations will end on November 28.
