Bank of Maldives (BML) has stated that customers will face interruptions when using Visa debit and credit cards on some international e-commerce merchants.
The interruptions are due to an ongoing essential upgrade by the national bank to enhance the security of its cards and payment gateway. The bank stated customers can continue to use their Visa cards at ATMs and POS machines abroad.
BML stated it is working swiftly to resume the service and will inform customers once the work is completed and apologised for any inconvenience.
