Hospital projects financed by Kuwait Fund to re-open for bidding

Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer has stated the hospital development projects to be carried out under the aid of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development will be re-opened for bidding.

Speaking at the Parliament of the Maldives, Minister Ameer said the National Tender Board has deemed that the proposals submitted for the hospital development projects were too costly and the Kuwait Fund has been informed that the projects will be re-opened for bidding later this year.

The projects to develop 30-bed hospitals in seven islands are carried out under the aid of the Kuwait Fund. The projects include hospital development projects in Hanimaadhoo in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Milandhoo in Shaviyani Atoll, Velidhoo in Noonu Atoll, Thulusdhoo in Kaafu Atoll, Maamigili in Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, Felidhoo in Vaavu Atoll and Vilufushi in Thaa Atoll.
