Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has stated the proposed state budget for 2023 includes all essential projects for the citizens.
Speaking to PSM News, Parliamentary representative of MDP Mohamed Shifau said the government has included projects to allow citizens can live a pleasant and comfortable life anywhere in the country. He also shed light on the completed projects that have already developed the atolls to a level in which residents can achieve higher education and travel conveniently using the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) high-speed ferry service.
Furthermore, Parliamentarian Shifau said the development of the travel and transport system is essential in allowing citizens to live comfortably in their residential islands, as they would be able to travel conveniently to seek medical treatment and health services as well as for educational opportunities. He also highlighted the importance of developing harbours for isolated communities.
Additionally, Shifau praised President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for finding solutions to the longstanding issues and challenges faced by citizens and assured that next year’s budget will include all essential projects needed by island communities.
