Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has announced it is offering scholarships for courses in the United States (US) academies to the public.
MNDF is offering scholarships from the US Air Force Academy, US Coast Guard Academy, US Naval Academy, and the US Military Academy. The courses are scheduled to begin in June 2023. MNDF stated that on completion of the programme, candidates will be awarded a Bachelor's Degree and will be commissioned as an officer in the Maldivian armed forces.
The requirements for the course include having completed A Level or a qualification equivalent to A-Level or above, not being married, and being under 23 years of age before July 1, 2023. In addition, applicants must have taken the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing (ACT), have taken the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), and be mentally, physically, and physically fit.
MNDF requested eligible candidates to submit application forms before November 15.
