NCA opens art display space at Noovilu Seaplane Terminal

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has toured the dedicated artwork display space set up at the Noovilu Seaplane Terminal at the Velana International Airport (VIA).

The display wall set up by the National Centre for the Arts (NCA) allows local artists to display their artworks year-round. The artworks are hosted at the seaplane terminal under the administration’s initiative of providing emerging artists with platforms to present their work to local and international audiences. Twenty artworks from the permanent collection of the National Art Gallery are on display at the terminal. In addition to the art displays, the platform also allows local musicians to showcase their talent at the airport. The platform is also open for artists during the peak season.

During the visit, President Solih also met with members of the art community and inquired about their work.
