State Trading Organisation (STO) has recruited 475 sales agents in different parts of the country so far.
STO has appointed agents to sell some of its goods for cheap prices on the islands. The aim of the agents is to ensure that the goods sold by STO are easily available in the atolls as well as in Male' City.
STO stated that an agent is appointed to a company or business registered with the Ministry of Economic Development under the Business Registration Act. STO has appointed agents to promote small businesses in the atolls of the Maldives. STO also stated that promoting businesses is a very important priority for the company.
