The Women in Management (WIM) Awards, which recognise and encourage women in various fields of development, have been presented to 45 people this year. The WIM Awards ceremony was officiated by First Lady Fazna Ahmed.
The Fourth WIM Maldives Professional and Career Women Awards 2022 ceremony was held at Kurumba Maldives. The awards recognise the work of women in various fields of employment and social life, including those who work to establish gender equality and empower women.
President of WIM Minha Faiz Rashad said the organisation has always worked to expand the role of women in society and the association always strives to make their work acceptable and encouraging to society.
WIM Awards were presented to 45 people this year. The awards were given in the fields of sports, health, tourism, and community service. Meanwhile, three more categories have been added to the WIM Awards this year, which are Powering Gender Equality, International Woman of the Year, and Expatriate Award.
The award has previously been given to 128 women.
