Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed an agreement with Damas Real Estate Private Limited to develop the first ever multi-storey car park in Hulhumale’ called One Park.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister of State for National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure Akram Kamaluddeen said that the development of the car park is a solution to the issue of congestion, as more people begin living in Hulhumale’. He said Damas Real Estate has been involved in major projects and expressed confidence that the car park will also be another one of its successes.
Damas Real Estate stated that One Park will be the first-ever Parkade structure in the Maldives. It stated that seven-storey building will have state-of-the-art security features and will present a safe and secure space for vehicles. Owners will be able to book a variety of parking spots including for cars and motorcycles as well as disability, premium and valet parking. The building will also include retail spaces and food courts and have solar panels installed to cut energy bills and reduce carbon footprints.
