Highlighting that the school had made significant achievements over the past 40 years, he extended his appreciation to the management and teachers who had served the institution since its inception.
Questioning the role of schools and the education sector in general, Vice President Naseem noted that neither infrastructure and resources nor teachers alone could build generations of productive citizens. He stressed that the task requires a whole-of-society approach and called on the nation to bear on their shoulders the responsibility to help and support building the country's future generations.
Furthermore, Vice President Naseem addressed the students on the need to learn new skills throughout their time in school. Noting that there are many job opportunities in many different fields, he urged students to make the most of their time in school to learn technical and vocational skills.
Vice President Naseem handed over plaques of appreciation at the ceremony to staff who had served the educational institution for over 30 years. The school was opened on April 20, 1982, and caters to students in grades 7-12.
