Maamendhoo residents content with progress made by gov't

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has briefed the community of Maamendhoo about the administration’s developmental plans. He held a meeting for the community of Maamendhoo as part of his visit to Gaafu Alifu Atoll.

During the meeting, President Solih recalled earlier discussions with the Maamendhoo Island Council and members of the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) and spoke about the administration’s plans to address the concerns of the island’s community. He announced that a road construction project would commence with the completion of the water and sewerage network project. He added the council would be able to address housing needs with the finalisation of the land-use plan.

Meanwhile, the residents of the island shared with the president their most pertinent needs and concerns and expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the ongoing water supply network project.
