Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced all of its outlets will be closed for four days coinciding with the New Year.
All the outlets operated by BML and the Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) will close on December 29, 2022, and will re-open on January 2, 2023. BML closes all of its outlets in the last week of December to complete its financial statements at the end of each year. Despite the bank closure, BML and MIB will continue to provide 24-hour withdrawal and deposit services through their self-service ATM centres across the country.
BML revealed its services will also be available through cash agents established in the islands. Meanwhile, money transactions can also be made through BML and MIB mobile apps during the bank closure period.
