Bank of Maldives (BML) has appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Karl Stumke as the Managing Director.
Karl Stumke joined BML as CEO in October 2022 and has now been appointed by the government to the Board of Directors. The decision was made during the board meeting held following the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).
Karl Stumke has over 36 years of experience leading retail and corporate banks at the executive and board level in the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, and the United Kingdom (UK). He was previously CEO of Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
