State Trading Organisation (STO) has launched the SAP Ariba network which is used by many companies around the world for business transactions.
STO launched the Ariba network at a special ceremony held at the Dharubaaruge' convention centre. The network was officially launched by the General Manager of STO Mohamed Shifan.
The Ariba network is a cloud-based online network. The network makes it easier for suppliers to collaborate on transactions, strengthen relationships and explore new business opportunities. STO said the network will convert five days of procurement work to five hours. The works will be converted to the network after suppliers share the information they need about the network and become familiar with the network. This will greatly improve and facilitate the work of STO, the company said.
Additionally, the network will allow easy communication with STO and suppliers. Under this view, all transactions via email can be made through the Ariba network. Bids can also be sent and submitted through Ariba. In addition, agreements can be signed through the network. Special training programmes will be conducted to familiarise suppliers with the Ariba network.
