Minister of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam has stated that the Kudagiri Picnic Island project has fulfilled an important pledge made by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to the residents of the Greater Male' Region.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony of Kudagiri, Minister Aslam said the project is very beneficial for the residents of the Greater Male' Region. He said President Solih's pledge to the residents has been fulfilled with the completion of the project. He also said the president has provided an important social solution to the residents of the region.
Additionally, Minister Aslam said the government is making efforts to bring an end to the suffering of the people without excluding any island in the Maldives. He reiterated that many projects have been implemented in the capital city and the atolls without any exception to the size of the population or any particular atoll.
Highlighting the upcoming projects, Minister Aslam said the Greater Male’ Connectivity Project (GMCP) will also be completed as pledged, adding that the housing problem in different parts of the country will also be solved by the administration. In addition, he said the transportation system will be further strengthened.
