Students urged to produce evidence-based reasoning

Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan has said that students should be able to produce evidence-based reasoning. He made these remarks while speaking at the closing ceremony of the three-day 97th Camp Furaavaru run by Maldives Police Service (MPS) in partnership with Ghaazee School.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Hassan said that the youth should be determined to stand on their own feet and live a dignified life and make the most of their knowledge. He said the biggest challenge would be to try to apply what they learned from the camp in their daily lives. He, however, said it is very important to instill the knowledge, skills, and ethical standards learned in the camp as part of their daily routine. As such, he said students should be able to stand on their own feet and live a proud life. In addition, he said students should obey the laws and regulations.

Furthermore, Minister Hassan said the government has opened many scholarships for higher education opportunities. He said every student who completes higher secondary education has the opportunity to enter any university anywhere in the world. Therefore, he said students should always be interested in acquiring knowledge in an age where the doors of learning are widely open.
