The Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has revealed it will hold a special general meeting on March 2 to appoint a board director representing the common shareholders.
MTDC stated that the special general meeting is scheduled to be held on February 2 at 1600hrs through Fahivote, the online meeting management system developed by the Maldives Securities Depository (MSD). The meeting is open to those who are registered as shareholders of the company until February 23.
MTDC was established in 2006 by the government to provide direct benefits to the residents of the Maldives. Since 2010, MTDC has been operating at a loss. However, MTDC is now recording profits with the efforts made to strengthen the company.
