Maldives and UAE discuss working together to resolve issues

The Maldives and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have discussed working together to effectively resolve issues. The discussion was held during a meeting between Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the UAE Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber and Vice President Faisal Naseem as part of his official visit to Dubai.

At the meeting, Vice President Naseem congratulated Minister Al Jaber on his appointment as the President-designate of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28), expressing his hope that the conference will be a resounding success under his capable leadership and guidance. He also said that the Maldives highly values its long-standing fraternal bonds of friendship with the UAE, which he described as both special and unique.

Furthermore, Vice President Naseem emphasised that the UAE has been a consistent and reliable friend and an invaluable development partner. They further discussed in depth the efforts made by both parties on the international front, highlighting numerous challenges and how to work together to resolve the issues effectively.

In conclusion, Vice President Naseem extended his gratitude to the government of UAE for its continued support and assistance to the Maldives in various sectors over the years. He expressed hope that their close partnership will continue to prosper and flourish.
