Vice President Faisal Naseem concluded his official trip to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to attend the World Government Summit 2023. He visited Dubai at the invitation of Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
During the visit, Vice President Naseem attended the 9th World Government Summit at the Madinat Jumeirah. He also addressed the Future of Work forum held as part of the summit. In his speech, he called on the international community to better use the available opportunities and resources to achieve the future we want for our citizens.
Moreover, Vice President Naseem also launched the Maldives Leadership Programme at the summit. It is the first training programme launched as part of the Government Experience Exchange Program (GEEP) of the UAE. The programme targets Maldivian government employees as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the UAE and the Maldives.
Furthermore, Vice President Naseem met with Crown Prince of the Emirate of Fujairah Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi. Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber also paid him a courtesy call.
