HDC reveals construction of 5,000 housing units are underway

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced more than 5,000 housing units of different categories are under construction as part of the efforts of the government to solve housing issues.

Revealing information about the project, HDC said 22 projects of middle and upper-class housing are already underway in Hulhumale, which consists of 5,198 units.

These projects include 116 units being developed by Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Pvt Ltd (RCC), 129 units developed by SASe/Glut Joint Venture, and 105 units developed by SJ Construction. In addition, 53 units are being developed by Fedo Construction Pvt Ltd and 162 units are being developed by Rainbow Mega Developers. HDC said out of these, 50% of the RCC project, 58% of Rainbow Mega Developers, and 98% of the NPH project have been completed.

HDC said it has identified four projects that have been delayed due to various reasons. As such, 94 units to be developed by Ensis Group have been delayed. The project has been resumed and the opportunity has been opened for the public to move into the flats, said HDC.

Meanwhile, HDC stated two towers are under construction for the luxury category.
