Vice President Faisal Naseem has called on the staff of the national airline, Maldivian, to provide services with compassion and equality. He made the remarks while speaking at the Staff Night of the Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL).
At the ceremony, Vice President Naseem said it is important to provide services to all citizens without discrimination with the increasing number of airports in the Maldives. He noted the close relationship between the employees of IASL and urged them to maintain it in the future as well.
Furthermore, Vice President Naseem said the employees of IASL are playing an important role in the development of the country as the main medium of transportation in the Maldives is air transportation. He said in the coming days the work of IASL will be harder and busier with the increasing number of airport development across the country. He also stated the relationship with the staff of IASL has been seen at the function, highlighting positive and close relations with the staff is important to flourish as a company.
IASL employs more than 1,300 staff. It operates and maintains several airports in the Maldives and has the largest airline and largest aircraft fleet in the country. In addition, IASL is also running a flying school in collaboration with the Maldives National University (MNU).
