Fenaka Corporation Limited has been contracted to build a 25T ice plant in Maabaidhoo, Laamu Atoll.
The agreement was signed by Managing Director of Fenaka Ahmed Saeed and President of Maabaidhoo Island Council Ibrahim Wisam. Fenaka is tasked with completing the project within six months.
In January. Fenaka was contracted to build ice plants in Fiyoaree and Madaveli in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. The company is tasked with building a 25T ice plant in each of the islands within 170 days.
The administration has so far built ice plants in 10 regions, which are Maduvvaree in Raa Atoll, Thulhaadhoo in Baa Atoll, Felivaru in Lhaviyani Atoll, Gaafaru in Kaafu Atoll, Feeali in Faafu Atoll, Fuvahmulah City and Hulhumeedhoo in Addu City. The administration plans to build 15 more ice plants this year.
