State Trading Organisation (STO) will continue to sell onions, eggs and garlic at cheap prices during the month of Ramadan.
Every Ramadan STO sells onions, eggs and garlic at cheap prices. These items are the most in demand during Ramadan. As the demand for these products increases, the prices of these products rise in the shops and markets of the Maldives. Therefore, STO imports onions, eggs and garlic every Ramadan to provide these items to the people at cheap prices.
STO stated that the first stock of these items will be available in the early days of March. STO is preparing to provide these items to the public without increasing the prices. Ramadan is a month of rising prices and increased public complaints. STO was first opened to address this issue and the company is still operating on that principle to this day.
STO is making efforts to provide easy service to the public during Ramadan. The company is developing a store in Hulhumale' Phase II and preparing to open during the month of Ramadan.
