Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services has introduced the children's storybook series, developed under the Geveshi Gulhun Campaign, to students from grades one to six.
The children's storybook series aims to create awareness and eliminate domestic abuse and violence from society at an early age. The series consists of six storybooks. The gender ministry gifted the storybooks to students from grades one to three in Key Stage 1 and students from grades four to six in Key Stage 2.
Minister of State for Gender, Family and Social Services Zifleena Hassan attended the ceremony at Izzuddin School to present the storybooks to schools in the Maldives as part of the campaign. Speaking at the ceremony, she urged students to read all the books in the series and think about the message of each story. She also advised students to implement these messages in order to shape their lives with good habits. In addition, she urged school teachers to use storybooks as much as possible in their reading and to plan activities in such a way that the children would understand the message conveyed by the storybooks.
