Fieldwork begins to develop mosque in Gan

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has launched the fieldwork of the project to construct a mosque in ​​Gan, Laamu Atoll.

The fieldwork was launched by the Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali. The ministry said the mosque with a capacity of 700 worshippers will be developed in the area. The mosque is built to accommodate both men and women.

Fedo Private Limited has been awarded the contract for the construction of the mosque. The company has been given one year to complete the mosque at a cost of USD1.08 million. The project will be funded by the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
