State Trading Organisation (STO) has reduced the wholesale price of onions, eggs, and potatoes for the holy month of Ramadan
STO said the price of a sack of onions has been reduced to USD10.37, the price of a case of eggs has been reduced to USD18.15 and the price of a sack of potatoes has been reduced to USD15.56. In addition, the retail price for these items is USD0.71 per kg for potatoes, USD0.58 per kg for onions, and USD0.11 per egg.
The prices of these products rise in shops and markets due to high demand during Ramadan. Therefore, STO imports these items every Ramadan to provide these items at cheap prices.
