Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened The Clay Studio Maldives to teach pottery and ceramic art. It is the country’s first-ever ceramic arts and pottery studio.
The studio was officially opened by the Managing Director of HDC Ahmed Athif. The studio is located on the ground floor of Raincrest Residences in Hulhumalé. The studio will offer courses on ceramic arts and pottery, allowing adults and children alike to try out clay art.
HDC stated it will also host exhibitions and workshops and cater to freelance artists as well. The studio is expected to be a welcome addition to the arts and culture scene in the Maldives, providing a new opportunity for those interested in learning the skill. HDC is hopeful that the studio will promote the creative industry in the Maldives.
