The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has warned the public of the removal of illegally docked vessels in the area located near the Male'-Villimale Ferry Terminal.
MTCC stated the area has been given by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation for use only of its vessels. However, other vessels are illegally docked in the area, making it difficult for ferries to depart and arrive on time. In addition, MTCC stated that many accidents occur due to illegally docked vessels.
MTCC stated that the vessels docked in the area should be removed within 10 days. The state-owned company said vessels not removed within the period will be towed away by the Maldives Police Service (MPS).
