Ministry of Health has contracted DNF Engineering Private Limited to construct an extension building for the health centre in Maaenboodhoo, Dhaalu Atoll.
The agreement was signed by Senior Executive Director at the Health Ministry Abdul Hannan Hussain and by the Director of Operations of DNF Engineering Shakeeb Ahmed. DNF Engineering is tasked with constructing the extension building, laboratory, and portico within 150 days at a cost of around USD300,000.
Developing health facilities in the atolls is one of the highest priorities of the administration. The initiative aims to reduce the reliance on the Greater Male’ Region and allow residents to receive medical treatment and healthcare services near their residential islands. These include the development of tertiary hospitals, the construction of new hospitals, and extension building works.
