Most Ihya Forums held in atolls in 2023: Islamic Minister

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir said that most Ihya Forums were held in the atolls in 2023.

The Islamic ministry holds the Ihya Forum every year in Male City and the atolls during the holy month of Ramadan. The forum was held in seven islands this year, which consisted of Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, Kulhudhuffushi City, Hoarafushi in Haa Alif Atoll, Dhuvaafaru in Raa Atoll, Naifaru in Lhaviyani Atoll, and Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. The last Ihya Forum was held in Fuvahmulah.

Speaking at the Ihya Forum held in Fuvahmulah, Minister Zahir said that the forum has never been held in the atolls of the country at such a large scale. He also said that the forum held in the islands of the Maldives will be increased in the future.

Individuals who took part in the Ihya Forum won prizes as well. As such, the winners of the awards were chosen in a lucky draw held at the Ihya Forum in Fuvahmulah. The first-place winner was a participant in the forum held in Hoarafushi. He received a free Umrah pilgrimage trip facilitated by the Maldives Hajj Corporation Limited. The second and third-place winners were participants from Fuvahmulah who received an iPhone and a sofa set respectively.
